Long Awaited Child: Long Awaited Child...

We come from a small town. Everyone knows everyone (or atleast someone who is related). Last week when I heard what had happened to Baby Bane my heart ached. As a parent, I sobbed for Sonya & Deason. As a sister, I cried for Livi
The Beasley's are taking this tragedy & turning it into something good. A fund has been set up in honor of Bane. His family would like to preserve the legacy that they know he would have left.
Please visit Baby Bane's Memorial page & leave a few kind words for his family. If able, make a donation.
Please help in lifting up this beautiful family during this difficult time.

Long Awaited Child: Long Awaited Child...: "nine months. Belly swelled and labor pains and a child came into this world. Mama rocked him, held him close. Daddy’s strong hands lift..."

TIME

Time keeps ticking. Ready or not, there is no stopping it. Life happens & before we know it, we wonder where the "time" went.
My babies are growing bigger every day. Emmitt will be 1 in just a few weeks. Ellis starts pre-school in August. It seems like only yesterday I was pregnant.
I love being a "Mommy" & I'm still "In Love" with my husband.
Life happens, and we just go with it. We try to savor every moment, because you never know when will be your last. Lately, I've tried to make sure that I love. That I love my family, my life, my moment.

2010

I said I was going to do better with blogging this year. I'm not too far gone just yet, as it is only the 2nd week in Jan. I still have time.

Emmitt is growing like a weed, and Ellis seems to amaze us everyday with something he said. On the outside, they look just alike, however, they are completey different in actions. Ellis needs attention all the time, while Emmitt is so laid back and calm.

We made it through Thanksgiving & Christmas. We had a wonderful time. I have huge plans for this year. Spend more time with the boys, get a grip on debt, etc. The normal stuff.

We got our first snow on the 7th. I took the boys out and they had a blast.
Here's to 2010, and my family!

Long Time, No See......

So what has happened since the last time I posted? Life, that's what!

  • On May 5th, 2009, Emmitt joined our family! We are so proud of our new addition. Being a Mommy of 2 Boys is a blast. I'm on my toes at all times (hence, the LONG break in blogging). And Ellis LOVES being a Big Brother.

  • On June 14th, I turned 28. So far, so good!

  • On July 6th, I returned to work, part time. (I need Grown Ups!)

  • On Oct 3rd, Ellis has his 3rd Birthday!

  • And Today Nov 16th, Chris and I celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary!

I plan on staying on top of things from here on out. We are so blessed......

Way too Long

I promise, I'm gonna be better about posting. So much has happened since my last post.

We found out on the 5th that Ellis will be welcoming a baby brother in early May. We are so excited about "Deuce" as he is being called for now. At first, Ellis was a bit confused, because he swore he was getting a sister! During the ultrasound he said "I'm getting a baby sister- Tessa" (as he named her). He tech looked at him and said "I don't think so- look!" and showed him the "Boy" parts. Needless to say Ellis called NaeNae (my mom) and advised her that he was getting a "Peanuts"....yes, my 2 year old told his grandmother that he was getting a Penis! During the ultrasound she also checked out Deuce's heart, and told Ellis to listen. She said "It sounds like a horse, doesn't it"? Later, Ellis advised everyone at a restaurant that "Mommy has a horse in her butt"! I have a feeling that this is only the beginning of what it will be like living in a house full of boys!

It's Been Too Long.....

So much has happened since my last post.

Ellis had his 2nd Birthday (can you believe it?)

Ellis was "Secret Mission Ice Bat" for Halloween. (That is one of his Ugly Dolls)

Chris and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary

Oh, and we found out that Ellis is going to be a big brother- (I'm already 14 weeks!)

What a huge and wonderful surprise. Ellis can't wait to meet his new baby. He has already informed us that it is a sister and her name with be Tessa. We have no idea where he got the nae from, but he's set on it. I told him we did not know that he was going to get a sister, that it may be a brother. His response: Then he will be named John Deere. I told him we'd talk.

I promise I'll update more, but until then, here are some new Ellis Pics!
